Bauer Media helps through the Czech Internet

Český internet pomáhá (Czech Internet Helps) – this is the name of the first annual project which helped to collect money for people in need and which our publishers contributed to.
A charity event took place from 21 March to 5 April 2011 and visitors to the www.internetpomaha.cz website could become acquainted with the stories of people who receive help from the charities Konto BARIÉRY (Barrier Account) and Člověk v tísni (Person in Need) and donate money to improve their lives. In 14 days this event brought in 738,000 CZK.
This money will go to 24-year-old Kryštof to buy him a quality wheelchair and to buy little Lukáš a rehabilitation device called a Motomed. The collected money will also be used for education and construction of schools in Ethiopia and medical aid for raped women in the Congo. The remaining money will go towards buying wheelchairs and other aids for young people.
The biggest players of Czech Internet came together for the first time to sponsor the Český internet pomáhá project. Vydavatelství Bauer Media, v.o.s. was represented by websites www.bauermedia.cz, www.televize.cz, www.bravogirl.cz, www.bravo.cz and www.xteen.cz.
