TV Max becomes Magazine of 2010
30 / 05 / 2011

In the prestigious category of titles sold in an edition of over 100,000 copies it was the fortnightly TV Max magazine of the Bauer Media portfolio which excelled in the Magazine of 2010 competition. The results of the 7th annual competition organised by the Magazine Section of the Union of Publishers were announced on 26 May 2011 at the Ambassador Hotel in Prague.

The victory of the magazine TV Max was deserved – no other high-edition magazine in this category could compete with TV Max in objective terms as with the jury’s rating it was the starting point for the awarding of the Magazine of the Year trophy.
Gross advertising revenues from this title climbed last year to CZK 48,012,000 which is a year-on-year increase of 32%. Last year’s readership per issue reached 507,000 readers and compared with the previous year this was a rise of 22 %. Average sales in 2010 came to just below four-hundred thousand limit (395,841 copies) so TV Max broke its historic record of 2009 (391,071). TV Max reached the highest standard in its category not only in the index rating but also in the rating by a professional jury and thanks to this it was rated well ahead of the other candidates.
Bauer Media titles aspired to the Magazine of 2010 awards in other categories, too. TV Revue reached the shortlist of magazines sold with an edition from 50,000 to 100,000 copies which also reached for the Start of the Year award. The websites Bravo.cz and Bravogirl.cz were shortlisted among the digital activities of 2010.
