Žena a život
Published in Czech Republic since 1994
Žena a život is a unique lifestyle women's magazine which is determined for young modern women, particularly those in the age bracket from 25 to 40. It is exceptional not only with regard to its periodicity (it appears twice a month), it price (it offers a minimum of 100 pages for the permanent price of CZK 28), but especially because of its "highly charged" contents. This is also most succinctly expressed by the motto of the magazine: Woman and Life - All aspects of your life.
To facilitate the reader's easy orientation each edition of the magazine is divided into three basic sections - Fashion, Beauty and Enjoy Life - whereby in the fashion cosmetics section the reader will learn about novelties and trends, she will also find a host of hints, advice and possibilities how to feel and look "chic" any time and anywhere. The third above-mentioned section - Enjoy Life - concentrates on the more practical aspects of life such as modern cookery, the household, tips how to furnish a home or put some finishing touches to it, travelling, technical "gadgets" for women etc.
In addition to these three pillars the reader of Žena a život will find plenty to enjoy in the form of a good read: interviews with interesting people, essays, short stories, articles devoted to sex, partner and family relationships, inspiring material about sports activities, health, slimming and work. Since Žena a život is determined above all by the "trends" of a woman who does not merely live for her career but is also dedicated to her family, the magazine regularly contains pages devoted to bringing up children, fashion for the very young etc. Several times a year the magazine includes special supplements, for example devoted to cooking, a healthy life style, slimming, hair and fashion.
