Just as in previous years, in some of the categories the TýTý little mirror awards were won by likely favourites, for others it was just a “return to the limelight”, and some winners surprised “themselves”.
The eighth annual Magazine of the Year competition took place on Thursday, 29 March 2012 which is announced by the magazine section of the Czech Publishers Association and 36 magazines took part this year.

Another special theme magazine entitled Příběhy na hraně zákona (Edge of the Law Stories) has appeared in the family of the fortnightly Napsáno životem (Life Stories) magazine.
